So many times we hear someone is talking but without listening to a word. Sometimes we can even make the right noises, still not listening to what this person is telling you. Other times we listen but we do not comprehend or understand what that person is experiencing. Don’t forget the times that we are so busy with our own challenges, trying to “fix”, “maintain” or “move forward” we really don’t have the time to stop. It’s bad!
I’ve got this image in mind of Clint Eastwood in a Cowboy movie! You get this scene in the movie where the Cowboys will be in the middle of “somewhere” going “nowhere” and they will have a fire with bake-beans and black coffee and that would have been more than enough.
Straightforward – there are times that we don’t even care enough about the other person to stop and really listen and quite frankly we do not want added baggage or responsibilities of another person and it is so easy to say – I did not know it was that bad! With that, we absolve from this voice inside of us that said….STOP, LISTEN…!
I feel you sister, I feel you!
